Dolly Parton Hints at Buffy Reboot Possibility

In a recent interview with Business Insider, country legend Dolly Parton suggested that a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot could be in the works.

Parton secretly produced the original "Buffy" series from 1997-2003 through her former production company Sandollar Productions.

"They're still working on that. They’re thinking about bringing it back and Revamping it," Parton told Business Insider regarding a "Buffy" reboot.

Series star Sarah Michelle Gellar shared last year how surprised she was to discover Parton's behind-the-scenes role and support for her performance.

"Buffy," starring Gellar, Nicholas Brendon and Alyson Hannigan, grew into a hugely influential cult classic TV series since ending in 2003.

The series was based on the 1992 horror comedy film of the same name, which starred Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry.

It's unclear if original stars like Gellar would return for Parton's proposed "Buffy" reboot or if the project would feature a new cast.
